After reports of Mika’s performance in Pakistan went viral, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and the Federation of Western India Cinema Employees (FWICE) issued a statement condemning his actions. According to their statements, he was banned by two organizations.
The AICWA’s statement read, “AICWA has banned and expelled Singer Mika Singh from the Indian Film Industry for performing at a high-level event in Karachi on August 8, 2019.” They face legal consequences in court. ”
The Federation of Western India Cinema Employees (FWICE) has also banned the singer and his staff from performing in India. Their statement was, “We at FWICE, the entire 24-man craft of filmmaking, has zero-tolerance for such stringent actions and has unanimously condemned it as anti-national.”
