In a joint raid that the National Investigation Agency conducted with the Hyderabad Police Yesterday, eleven men suspected to possess links with terror activity group islamic State (or ISIS) were detained Yesterday.
The NIA raided 9 locations falling underneath 3 PS limits within the town. The raids were conducted at Moghulpura, Meer Chowk and Bhawani Nagar PS limits.
Police sources aforesaid weapons, explosives and money are taken over in the circumstances of raids
“Raids are occurring at 3 to four places within the old city. NIA is doing it. The Hyderabad police is helping them. Searches are being conducted over some suspected terror activities that were planned to be applied within the town,” a senior intelligence officer aforesaid.
The suspects were were allegedly coming up with terror activities within the town, police aforementioned. “We aren’t positive who these individuals (suspects) are and also the teams they’re related with,” the sources said.
Earlier this year, fourteen individuals suspected to be sympathizers of the ISIS were picked up from across the country in an anti-terror operation by the NIA. 2 of the suspects were taken into the custody in Hyderabad.
