Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Telangana usually claim that their party is that the solely option, which is alternate to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and it had all the possibilities of returning to power within the 2019 elections.
However, BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao has fired the gun a lot of before the battle has begun. He reacted openly and admitted before the media, albeit indirectly, that the party doesn’t have the capability to come back to power on its own in Telangana.
“We hardly have 30-40 leaders talented and eligible mentioning their names in Telangana. this is often not enough to come back to power. we want to enhance our strength and build up a powerful cadre within the returning years, if the least bit we tend to dream of returning to power within the state,” he said.
Even among these 30-40 leaders, one will hardly count the names who have the popularity among the individuals. All the others would be confined to their own localities and not even constituencies. And financially, too, there are none who will pay money to win the seat, refrain capturing power at the state-level.
So, they have just one possibility – either continue alliance with the TDP (which is going to be disastrous) or with the TRS (which can sustain the party another 10 years of time). it’s better they do not dream of returning to power on their own!
