57 RTA services to be made online from August 2nd in Telangana

RTA Telangana: The Transport Department has come up with cashless transactions from Tuesday by providing all its services on-line. The Department has earlier provided fifteen services on-line and from Tuesday onwards nearly 44 services would be additional to the list.

This would facilitate cashless transactions within the Transport Department offices within the state. The services include driver’s licence, registration of vehicles, issuing of latest and renewal of fitness certificates, issue and renewal of permits, etc.

According to officers, beneath this initiative, slot system is provided for every type of transactions to fecilitate the citizens to schedule date and time to avoid delay.

The applications may be filed on-line, through e-seva/me-seva centres or in any internet centre. The individual needs to pay fee on-line or in e-seva/me-seva centres only. after filing applications on-line, a transaction number, date and time for transaction would come to the registered mobile. No manual services would be out there from August second onwards.

In september 2015, the authorities had brought twenty four services on-line and currently from August second, 100 per cent of the services would be created on-line. Earlier, the candidates must visit the RTA offices when booking the slot and then go through the method to fill up registration form physically.


The services like tourist permits and fancy registration numbers applications, would, however, still be manual procedure. The applicant ought to submit original copy of his certificates corresponding to date of birth, residential address proof, etc. together with a replica of the original, the official aforesaid.

If an individual applied for a brand new registration certificate (RC), after the verification, the applicant’s main work would be to get photograph and digital signature, added the official.

Transport Commissioner Sandeep Sultania aforesaid with the online system, the applier would have to come back to the office just for the verification, digital signature and photograph.
