The infant’s mother was tested positive earlier and being treated at a hospital.
A 20-days old baby tested positive for Novel Corona Virus on Thursday in Kalyan town of Thane district of Maharashtra, a civic official said.
At least six people, including a toddler, have been tested positive for coronavirus within the municipal limits of Kalyan Dombivli, bringing the area to 162, including three deaths, said KDMC health medical officer Dr. Raju Lavangare.
The baby’s mother had previously tested positive and was being treated at the hospital.
The six new COVID-19 patients include two workers from the APMC market in Vashi, a health department worker, and a private hospital employee in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, KDMC set up a dashboard on Wednesday to provide a real-time feed on COVID-19 status within civilian limits.
The dashboard, headed by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavansi, gives the latest real-time feeds about COVID-19 cases, said KDMC’s public relations officer Madhi Phophle.
