Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers caught Mendora village secretary whereas taking a bribe of Rs 4000 from a house owner for transferring house possession at Savel village.
According to Nizamabad ACB DSP Prathap Kumar, D Rajeshwar’s father had a house in Savel village and he died in 2009. Rajeshwar wished to transfer the house to his mother’s name and had raised an initiative to the village secretary.
S Srinivas, Mendora village secretary and in-charge of Savel and Kodicharla village, had asked for Rs 5,000 in bribe to transfer the deed and once negotiation he had accepted to finish the work for Rs 4,000.

But Rajeshwar was sad due to the harassment and complained to the ACB officers. ACB officers established a trap and asked Rajeshwar to give the bribe of Rs 4,000 to the village secretary Srinivas at Balkonda MPDO workplace. The ACB officers caught Srinivas red-handed after he received the bribe from Rajeshwar and took him into custody.
After taking into custody ACB officers registered a case against village secretary and are conducting an inquiry.
