Man enters lions enclosure but luckily rescued unhurt

Drunk Man Enters Cage To Kiss Lion

A 35 year old drunken man jumped into the lion’s enclosure at Nehru zoological park in the early hours of Sunday.  Sources said that his intension was to shake hand with the lion so as to either grab the public attention or to get good media coverage.

With the great effort of the zoo curator he was rescued unhurt.

Mukesh, a native of Sikar district in Rajasthan, crossed the barricade of the African lion enclosure despite warnings by the security staff, Nehru Zoological Park Curator Shivani Dogra said.

He was handed over to the bahadurpura police and trespass case has been registered on him as he was intoxicated with some kind of drugs or alcohol.

Zoo officials are trying their best to make the place very safe and secured to visit for the normal public but unfortunately this kind of incidents are happening in the recent times.

Mr. papaiah the zoo keeper had played a key role in rescuing the person as he diverted the lioness with some signals and created a disturbance to them and so he was rescued.
