How To Heal Acne Scars
After doing a battle with acne , you still have to deal with the scars. There are natural ways to heal them.
Before we talk about acne scars, it is important to understand that you should not absolutely quit your skin care process once all spots are gone. This is because your acne may come back. Try to quit your process slowly. For example, instead of using a clay mask every week, try doing it every alternate week . Observe how your skin reacts. If you break out, then resume your usual habits. Some people may need to continue with their skincare process forever until old age naturally lessens their production of sebum. This need not be a bad thing considering that a good skin care process can also ensure that you show less signs of aging through the years.
After the inflamed spots have healed, you will likely be left with two types of scars: pitted scars or dark spots. The first type is difficult to remove unless you seek the help of a dermatologist, but regular exfoliation can minimize their appearance by smoothing their edges. This is the best you can do on your own for pitted scars.
Dark spots are easier to heal. Exfoliation encourages the skin to renew itself faster , thus allowing dark spots to fade. To help dark spots fade even faster, use something that is rich in Vitamin C. A natural way to do this is to use a strawberry mask. Alternatively, you can replace your witch hazel toner with lemon juice. Turmeric is also reported to be effective in the general brightening of the face.
These methods will not work overnight, but neither will the more expensive commercial products. The advantage you get from using natural methods is at least you don’t have to pay a fortune to get clearskin.
