Three conmen were nabbed by Rachakonda police’s Cyber Crime wing from New Delhi on Sat for duping many persons on the pretext of providing jobs in IT/ITeS firms. They duped a town lady to the tune of more than five lakh rupees.
Rachakonda police aforesaid that Kumar Gaurav, Ankit Kumar, and Amit Kumar Rai were in operation a call center-like setup and reach out to job seekers posing as Human Resource personnel of MNCs. Also Read: Aircel, India’s small mobile phone operator, files for bankruptcy
A girl from Moula Ali approached the police claiming that she uploaded her resume on www.shine.com as she was searching for an employment. She received a phone call from someone claiming to be as an hr executive of an MNC. Initially, they made her pay Rs 1,850 through PayTm as registration fee.
Later, they made her transfer cash to completely different wallets and bank accounts. She conjointly shared her debits card details and one time passwords (OTPs).
As a result, they created a hundred transactions and picked up Rs five lakhs and forty thousand based on the transaction details, the culprits were nabbed from New Delhi.
People should keep in mind that a HR Executive will never ever ask any job seeker a single penny from him/her prior to joining and also there may be some nominal charges if it is a consultancy. Banks also keep asking their customers not to share their personal card details and OTP to anyone until and unless you are entitled to transact the mentioned amount.
